The management of PT Bumi Konawe Minerina, the owner of a Mining Business Permit (IUP) in Tapunggaya and Tapuemea villages, Molawe subdistrict, North Konawe regency, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra), has spoken out regarding the ongoing land dispute.

Site Manager of PT Bumi Konawe Minerina, Sahid, said that so far, the local community and landowners in the mining area have fully supported the activities of PT BKM.

“Alhamdulillah, so far, the community around the mine and landowners have always supported PT Bumi Konawe Minerina,” said Sahid on Saturday (8/8/2025).

Sahid added that the disputed land is actually owned by PT Bumi Konawe Minerina based on the results of document verification conducted by the local government.

“The land has been verified by the local government by presenting the previous land owner. As a result, the disputed land is legally owned by PT BKM,” he said.

A similar statement was also made by PT BKM’s Comdev Specialist, Busran. He said that stakeholders within the company’s circle are ready to provide support in the legal process and protect the disputed location from outside parties who are encroaching on the company’s current land.

“Referring to the land acquisition process of PT BKM in 2011, which was conducted openly and transparently, attended by local government , landowners, and community leaders,” added Busran.
