PT Bumi Konawe Minerina (BKM) showed their concern for the environment by delivering a bunch of mountain rocks to help deal with coastal erosion in Mandiodo Village, Molawe District, North Konawe Regency.
The materials were distributed to reinforce the seawall and prevent further damage caused by erosion, which has been threatening residents’ settlements and public facilities along the coastline.
Comdev Specialist at PT BKM, Busran, stated that this initiative reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts in addressing coastal erosion prevention while alleviating the burden on the community. Erosion is a common enemy.
“We hope this material assistance can be beneficial in slowing down the rate of erosion and providing protection for the residents of Mandiodo Village,” he said.
The residents of Mandiodo welcomed the assistance and expressed hope that erosion management efforts would continue with collaboration between the village government, the company, and the community.
