Following the opening of the Porseni event at the Molawe sub-district, the Deputy Regent of North Konawe, along with representatives from the management of PT BKM and PT Antam, conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Al-Istiqamah Mosque in Tapunggaya Village, Molawe Sub-district, on Saturday (August 9, 2025).

In this event, also attended by Vice Chairman II of the North Konawe Regency Regional Parliament, Muhardin, S.Pd, Regional Government Agencies (OPD), Molawe Sub-District Head, Lasolo Police Station, Konut Military Post, Lasolo Military Commander, Village Head, Tapunggaya Village BPD Chairman, Religious Leaders of Tapunggaya Village, and representatives from PT. Bumi Konawe Minerina (BKM), and PT Aneka Tambang (Antam).

In his speech, the Deputy Regent discussed how to build existing places of worship using the Fastabiqul method and how the congregation at the Al-Istiqamah Mosque in the village of Tapunggaya can participate in helping to complete the construction of a mosque, which is the responsibility of all Muslims.

He also expressed hope that the two companies based in Tapunggaya Village—PT BKM and PT Antam—could assist in accelerating the mosque’s construction so that it could be used during the holy month of Ramadan by 2026.

“The construction of the modern Al-Istiqamah Mosque is supported by four villages: Mowundo, Mandiodo, Tapuemea, and Tapunggaya, aiming to elevate our aspirations for the future so that the Tapunggaya sub-district can be realized. The laying of the first stone today will mark the beginning of a grand mosque for the Tapunggaya sub-district,” he added.

In closing his remarks, the Deputy Regent urged the attendees to join in prayer, praying for the committee members so that the mosque construction process will proceed smoothly. May the construction of the Al-Istiqamah Mosque enhance our faith and piety, especially among the local residents.
